Mark Allen Chapman

Mark Allen Chapman of Kingsport, passed away, Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Born on January 30, 1966 in Kingsport to parents, John Wayne and Harriet Earley Chapman. He was an avid UT football fan and was proud to wear orange and white to support his favorite team. Mark enjoyed going on car rides, going to see animals, shopping trips and watching his favorite show, Bob’s Burgers. He was a loved son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, John Wayne Chapman; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Chapman.

Survivors include his mother, Harriet Earley Chapman; sister, Teresa Harkleroad; niece, Kristin Harkleroad; nephew, Jacob Harkleroad; great-nephew, Raylan Steadman; great-niece, Graycen Harkleroad; special friends, Brandon and Aaron.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Life Bridges Facility and caregivers for their care and kindness.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor, Eddie Smith officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Guests are encouraged to wear Tennessee orange and blue jeans in honor of Mark.
