Mark Ketron

Mark A. Ketron, age 48 of Ringgold, Georgia and formerly of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 27, 2007, and is now residing in the Kingdom of Heaven with his beloved mother, Lois and bulldog, Lady Wrinkles.

Mark attended Sullivan Central High School and East Tennessee State University. He worked in computer operations. He served his county by volunteering in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted Green Bay Packer, Tennessee Volunteer, and Atlanta Braves fan. He had a passion for collecting and shared his passion with family, friends, and especially children. Mark was blessed with a loving and devoted wife, Cindy and special friend, Tuxedo.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Conkin Ketron; maternal grandparents Dee and Dora Conkin; paternal grandparents, Alfred Habe and Lethea ?Daisy? Ketron, Uncle Charlie Jarvis, Aunt Ruby Ketron, Uncle Paul Ketron, and W.T. ?Uncle Jack? Ketron; and special friends, Ricky Law and George Pihl.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Stacy Womac and Matt Womac and Beth Lyles; grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Caleb, and Ryan Womac; life-long friend, Steve Witt and devoted friend, Roger Ladd; father and step-mother, Herman Junior Ketron and Linda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Debbie Ketron, Danny Ray and Rhonda Ketron, and Anthony and Heather Ketron; special aunt and uncle, Jim and Patsy Copas, and Mildred ?Aunt Bee? Jarvis; special nephews and nieces, Brody and Bailey Ketron, Katie Barrett, and Galen Ketron; aunts and uncles, Sonny and Romelda Slaughter, Barbara Lane, Howard and Janie Ketron, Margaret Ketron, Reba Ketron, and Shirley Peters; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the Charles DeWitt Byrd Post #3382 of the VFW.
