Mark Edwin Kilgore, 48, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family due to complications from a severe seizure. A graduate of Sullivan North High School; he had also received his Associates in drafting from Northeast State Community College. He worked as a piping designer for several engineering firms in the area. Mark attended Lynn Garden Baptist Church. He enjoyed UT football and more recently the San Francisco 49ers and loved to golf. Mark was well loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, C.R. Kilgore and Fern Bond Kilgore, and maternal grandparents, Jamie D. Alley and Lovely Crook Alley.
Mark is survived by his son, James Braxton Kilgore; father, Jerry Kilgore, mother, Patsy Alley Kilgore; and brother, David Ray Kilgore and wife, Barbara Hammonds Kilgore; Aunt, Judy Johnson; uncle Richard Kilgore, nieces, Mary Ellen Jessee and Davina Kilgore and their children; and nephew, Daniel Kilgore.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18th from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 19th at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and golfing buddies.
