Mark Scott Lane, 45, Church Hill, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014. He is now in the eternal joy of his heavenly home.
He was a 1987 graduate of Tri-Cities Christian School. He was a past employee of Food City, Eastman Road, for several years before leaving due to health issues. Mark enjoyed listening to bluegrass and gospel music. He was also masterful at working crossword puzzles. He was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Kingsport.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Lane; brother, Myron G. Lane; paternal grandparents, Maldon A. and Mattie Quillen Lane; and his maternal grandparents, Henry A. and Bertha Litton Buckles.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah B. Lane, Church Hill; brother, Tony L. Lane, Kingsport; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm on Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 2 pm with Brother Mike Bays and Pastor Bob Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville, TN, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church, 2313 Portland Ave., Kingsport, TN 37660, or to a charity of one's choice.
