"Mark Baker", 57, of Mt. Carmel, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 unexpectedly at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he had resided in Wisconsin, York, PA; Waukesha, Wisconsin; and Evansville, IN before moving to Mt. Carmel in 2007. Mark graduated in the class of '72 from York Central High School and was a graduate of York College. He spent over 35 years in the only business he loved, radio.
Since March 2007, he was program director for WTFM-FM and WVEK-FM in Kingsport, TN, and was also afternoon personality at WTFM-FM. From 1992 to 2007, he programmed WIKY-FM and Y-107 in Evansville, IN. He enjoyed writing music and playing his guitar and loved quoting "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Seinfeld" and "Chappelle's Show." Mark was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.
He is survived by his wife Lucinda "Lu" Wormsbaker, Cindy Patrick of the home; daughter, Jaclyn Marie Wormsbaker and fiancé, Tony Brattain of Austin, TX; son, Eric Turner Wormsbaker of Evansville, IN; parents, Neil and Ethel Robinson Wormsbaker of Mesa, AZ; siblings, Glenn Wormsbaker and wife, Lucy of Mesa, AZ, Debra Filmore and husband, Bob of York, PA, and Donna Wormsbaker of Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved girls, "Hannah" and "Faith."
A celebration for Mark will be held on Monday, November 26th at Preservation Hall, 200 State Street, Newburgh, IN. Please gather at 5:30.
