Martha Hollifield, 87, of Kingsport, passed away at Netherland Health Care on Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
She was born in Blowing Rock, NC, and had resided in Elizabethton before moving to Kingsport in the early 50's. She retired from Tennessee Eastman Company in 1983 after 39 years of service in the accounting department. She was a member of Litz Manor Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Herbert and Olive Victoria Gragg Hollifield; two brothers, J. B. Hollifield and Dale Hollifield; and a sister, Nadine Koth.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ken Hollifield and wife, Chris, of Oviedo, FL, Glena Maggart and husband, Jerry, Port St. Lucie, FL, Donna Cobb and husband, Dan, Kingsport, and David Koth and wife, Allison, Kingsport; great-niece, Amy Sessions; and great-nephew, Scott Maggart.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 6:00, with Pastor Chris Alford officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Litz Manor Baptist Church, 1983 Dewey Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37664.
