Martha E. Vaughn, 75, Kingsport, TN, died Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., January 26, 2010, at Indian Path Medical Center. Born in Saltville, VA, she lived in Kingsport most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Vaughn; her parents, Harve Collins and Nan Snead Collins; brothers, Jack Collins and Otis Collins; and sisters, Pearl Dickerson, Ruth Duncan, and Bess Collins.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Kay Wilson, and sons James Allen Vaughn, Tony Lee Vaughn, and Mark Anthony Vaughn and wife, Cara, all of Kingsport; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Collins and wife, Katherine, of Roanoke, VA, George Collins and wife, Norma, of Marion, VA, and Harold Collins and wife, Rose, of Saltville, VA; and sisters, Nina Breedlove and husband, Robert, of Glade Spring, VA, Minnie Barbour, of Kingsport, Iowa Terry, of Saltville, VA, Vernie Vaughn and husband, George, of Kingsport, and Lola Repass, of Saltville, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 on Friday evening, January 29, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 7:00, with Rev. Kenny Adams and Pastor David Salley officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
