Martha Virginia (Jenni) Goins Steffey

Martha Virginia (Jenni) Goins Steffey, 85, of Kingsport, died peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at The Village at Allendale. Born on March 10, 1932, Jenni was married to Stanton H. Steffey for over 35 years, prior to his death. She lived in Kingsport most of her life and was a retired dispatcher from the Kingsport Police Department. Jenni was a member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Randolph Goins, Don Goins, and Johnny Ferguson; and her daughter, Judy Cole.

Jenni is survived by her daughter, Kim Fifield and husband Rich; son, Stanton H. (Bubba) Steffey, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Schaus and husband, Sam, Jacob Hammond, Tammy Hayes and husband Steven, great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Ryan Hayes; brothers, George Goins and Richard Goins; sister, Teresa Proffitt; nieces, Becky Laws, Pam Gentry; and many other beloved members of her extended family.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at East Lawn Cemetery The Rev. Dr. Rich Fifield officiating.
