Marvin Willis

Marvin Willis, Jr., 61, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007, after injuries sustained from a fall.

He was born and raised in Kingsport, retired from Holston Defense Corporation, and then started his own business, Willis Plumbing. Marvin was a very loving and caring person who was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.

Preceding him in death were his father, Marvin Willis Sr.; his sister, Mitzi Jo Willis; and his uncle, Chance Fortner of Florida.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Weaver and husband, Robert, Meadowview, Virginia, and Traci Willis of Memphis, TN; a niece, Denise Herron; his mother, Mona R. Willis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Steele officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be members of the Peacemakers and Tri-Cities Cycles.
