Mary P. Adams, 92, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Kingsport, TN.
She was born December 25, 1914, the daughter of the late Robert and Laura Patrick of St. Paul, VA. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Radford University and taught school for 38 years in the Russell County School System.
Her husband, Paul Adams, Sr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Paul Adams, Jr. of Kingsport; one daughter, Rev. Mary Ann Jones and husband, Sam P. Jones, Blountville; one foster son, Jerry D. Sproles, Castlewood, VA; five grandsons, Robert P. Adams, Steven E. Adams, Jeffrey A. Adams, Samuel E. Jones, and David Reeves; two granddaughters, Catherine A. Overstreet and Samantha A. Jones; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Reba Waple of Bowie, MD.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA with Rev. Thomas Quickel officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 3:15 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 2909 Weaver Pike, Bristol, TN 37620.
