Mary Kay Katherine Arnold, 39, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at Summit Hospital, Hermitage, TN after a brief illness. She was a native of Kingsport, TN and lived in Nashville for several years.
Mary Kay attended Sullivan County Schools and graduated from Sullivan South High School in 1991. She was a member of the Sullivan South marching band. Working as a certified nursing assistant in Kingsport and Nashville, she was a loving, gentle caregiver to nursing home and home health patients.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Bryson Arnold; maternal grandparents, Dell and Lois Bowser; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Ruby Arnold.
She is survived by parents, Jerry and Mary Arnold, Mt. Juliet, TN, formally of Kingsport, TN; brother, Greg Arnold, Nashville; sisters, Amy Arnold, Nashville and Susan Alan Roberts, Woodstock, GA; nephews, Chris Arnold, Bluff City, TN; Zach and Spencer Roberts; niece, Anna Roberts, Woodstock, GA. She is also survived by an uncle, Johnny Carole Arnold and aunt, Kay Paul VanVechten and several cousins.
Graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Memorial service will be held at Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church, Kingsport at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with The Rev. Mr. J. Thomas Phillips officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
