Mary Bullis Miller

Mary Bullis Miller, 82, Kingsport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was born in Kingsport where she had lived her entire life. She was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose. Mary was a member of Kingsport Community Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Miller, Jr.; parents, Claude and Pauline Bullis; sister, Helen Fasold; brother, Charles "Buddy" Bullis; son-in-law, Eddie Carroll; and best friend of 80 years, Wanda Morelock.

Mary is survived by 3 children, Kaye Carroll Matheson and husband, Mel of Kingsport, Robert (Bob) L. Miller and wife, Myshell of Kingsport, and Laura Sholes and husband, Christopher of Jonesborough; 6 grandchildren, Bryan Carroll, Amanda Depew, Christy Foerster, Bobby Miller, Katelin Absher, and Christen Sholes; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Bullis of Gastonia, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-6:00 pm at Kingsport Community Church. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Ron Lowe officiating.

A private graveside service will be conducted on Saturday with immediate family only.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Carroll, Grant Depew, and Bobby Miller.
