Mary Elizabeth Combs

Mary "Betty" Combs, 69, 500 Fleetwood #7, Kingsport, passed away early Thursday morning at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Betty was born in Johnson City and came to Kingsport during her childhood, and was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett in the class of '59. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Al W. and Blanche Kelly, and a brother, Dr. Graham Kelly.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Ms. Kelly Combs Weaver, Ft. Myers, FL, Mrs. Angie Roberts and husband, Chris, Blountville, TN, and son, Jeffery Combs, Kingsport; two grandchildren, Scotty Weaver and Alyssa Combs; two brothers, Mike Kelly and wife, Sharon, and Pat Kelly and wife, Pat, Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and her constant companion, Teddy.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 12 noon at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens, Johnson City, with Father Mike Nolan officiating.

Memorials may be given to the organization of donor's choice.
