Mary Esther Taylor Cox, 86, Fall Branch, went to her heavenly home Sunday April 6, 2008 at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness.
After graduating from Fall Branch High School, she attended Whitney Business College. Mary retired after 30 years of service with W.B. Green Hardware.
She was a member of Lovelace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Cox; and parents, Amos and Pauline Taylor.
Surviving are her brother, Lee A. Taylor and wife, Faun Bacon Taylor, Fall Branch; special niece, Cheryl Taylor, of the home; niece, Vicky Taylor, Fall Branch; niece, Suzanne Taylor, Abingdon, VA; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Victor Wallace and Rev. Howard Shipley officiating. Music will be provided by Bill Shepherd and family.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie P. Mullins, Alan R. Grubbs, Gary W. Simerly, Bill Shepherd, Norman Light, E.B. Moore, and Jack McCrary.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church, c/o Cemetery Fund, or to Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Cemetery Fund, 930 Ryan Road, Fall Branch, TN 37656.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mary's three caregivers, Nancy Williams, Grace McCrary, and Mima Jean Taylor.
