Mary Kate Light Crawford

Mary Kate Light Crawford, 89, of the Walker's Fork Community, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Brookhaven Manor. She was born in Hawkins County, TN, on December 12, 1921.

She was preceded in death by her husband Red Byrd Crawford; daughter Bertha Mullins; two grandsons Scott and Jerry Mullins; parents James and Jane Light; sisters Anna Belle Light, Clyde Light, Almeda Conkin, and Adra Light Morrison; brothers John Henry Light, Merle Light, and Clay Light.

She is survived by her sons J.B. Crawford, Tony Crawford and wife Jean; several grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. The service will begin at 7 p.m. with Brother Dan Dolen officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walker's Fork Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
