Mary Nell Derrick
Mary Nell Derrick, 90, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009, at Church Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Trinity Church of the Brethren.
Ms. Derrick was preceded in death by her parents, DeWolfe Derrick Sr. and Elsie Allen Derrick; eleven brothers, Lynn, Herman, DeWolfe Jr., Andy, Gus, Holly, Marve, Jeptha, Enoch, Wade, and Gene Derrick; two sisters, Evelyn Robinette and Lucille Derrick.
Surviving are three sisters-in-law, Rose Derrick, Jo Derrick, and Dorothy Derrick; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Pete Roudebush officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday at Midway Church of the Brethren Cemetery Caney Valley.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Church Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Center and Caris Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midway Church of the Brethren, 184 Derrick Road, Surgoinsville, TN, 37873.
