Mary K. Dougherty

Mary K. Dougherty, of Fall Branch, entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, December 2, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was a mother of many, beyond her own children.  She was a kind and loving soul. She grew up in the Long Island community of Kingsport. Mary retired from Eastman Chemical after 25 plus years. In her later years, she worked as a caregiver bringing joy to the elderly she served.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cordie Peters Mendenhall, along with several siblings.

She was survived by her children, Sandra Toler, Patricia Dougherty and Charles Michael Dougherty and wife Sharon; six grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Hensley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her special fur baby, Buddy.

A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Adkins officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
