Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Mary Estelle Free, 89, of Kingsport, went to be with her precious Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Estelle was born and raised in Kingsport, graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School, and was a lifelong resident of the Model City. She was a member of Kingsport Community Church for 59 years, having served as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. She had the sweetest soul and was loved by all who came in contact with her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Preston Free; son, Robert; daughter, Teresa; parents, Walter and Dewey Bradley; and siblings, Billy Bradley, Wallace Bradley, Christine Greer and Joan Bowery.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Myra Lynn Free; son, Brad Free (Irene); 4 grandsons, Scott Welch, Bryan Daniel, Brock Daniel and Chris Free; 3 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan and Landon Daniel; special long-term friends, Billie Mecke, Anna Dickinson, Jeanne Jones, Julie Furbish, Betty Mosely and many others; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at NHC Rehab in Kingsport, Elmcroft Assisted Living, Caris Hospice, Mark Stayton, Rita Hill and her special neighbors, Jerry and Pat Ramsey for everything they did during this difficult year.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Kingsport Community Church with Pastor Ron Lowe and Rev Mark Stayton officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Michael Welch, Bryan Daniel, Brock Daniel, Chris Free, Dakota Daniel, Dylan Daniel and Landon Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kingsport Community Church, 2316 Memorial Blvd., Kingsport, TN 37664.
