Mary Hawkins Farris, 96, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008.
Born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, she had lived in Bristol until 1929 when she moved to Kingsport. Mrs. Farris was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Liberty Chapter #198 Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Farris; one son, George Pete Farris; six sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Harry; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with The Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660.
