Mozelle Garber, 76, Old Fordtown Community, died early Tuesday morning following a lengthy illness.
She was born in the Fordtown Community where she had resided for most of her life. She was a graduate of ETSU class of '61 where she received BSN degree. Mozelle worked at HVCH and Indian Path Hospital. She returned to HVCH and retired in 1995.
Mozelle attended Fordtown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Vastine Garber, Sr., and Lura Christian Garber; brothers, Aubrey and Doyle Garber, Jimmy D. Garber, Sr., Claude A. Garber, Samuel V. Garber, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Huntington and Othnal Garber; and three nephews and one niece.
Mozelle is survived by her sister, Rosie C. Gilder, Fordtown, TN, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryan Moore and Pastor J. P. Depew officiating.
The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
