Mary Rose Garland, 77, of Kingsport, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at her residence.
Born and raised in Maryville, TN, Mary Rose was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.
Her parents, Boyd and Myrtle Kidd preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Garland; her son, Keith Garland of Lebanon, VA; and three granddaughters, Tiffany, Lacey and Linsey.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Burlingham officiating.
Interment will follow the service at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ted Hughes, David Carter, Bill Roberts, Dr. Gerald Gilbert, Joe Riggs, Wayne Whitson, Jim Hall, and Greg Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Upper Room Sunday School Class.
