Mary Manicur Gollie, 88, Kingsport, passed away Sunday February 28, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born January 3, 1922, in Switchback, WV, and was the daughter of the late Sam and Jeanette Manicur. She spent the majority of her life in Coeburn, VA.
Mary was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Coeburn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gollie, Jr.; and brother, Eugene Manicur.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Audrey Gollie of Gray, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Daniel Davis of Kingsport; daughter and son-in-law, Colene and Michael Conover of Kingsport; daughter, Arlene Gollie of Kingsport; brother, James Manicure and wife, Wanda of Wise, VA; sister, Lucy Dean of Bristol, TN; sister, Hazel Noonkester of Gray, TN; sister, Dr. Alice Manicur of Frostburg, MD; sister-in-law, Maggie Manicur of Abingdon, VA; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Titus Andersen and Samuel Hall officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Hill Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her many friends who have blessed her with their love and support for the past 88 years.
