Mary Ruth Gray

Mary Ruth Turner Gray, 75, Kingsport, TN, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2014, at her home following a brief illness. Mary was born in Ft. Blackmore, VA and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her parents, C. L. and Elsie Turner, sisters, Imogene Hillman and Maxine Quillen preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Elton Gray, of the home; son, John Richard Gray and wife, Wendy, Rogersville, TN; and daughter, Susan Leigh Gray, Kingsport, TN; two grandchildren, Kaila Perry and husband, Andrew and Spencer Flanary; two brothers-in-law, Dave Hillman and O. A. Quillen; several nieces, nephews, special friends, Dana Stout and Sarah Walters.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Pederson officiating.
