Mary Jane Jenkins Hamilton, 88, of Gray, TN, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2024, under the loving care of the staff at The Blake at Kingsport. Born on December 30, 1935, she was the daughter of Ben Jenkins and Kate Brown Jenkins. Jane was a preacher’s wife and homemaker for 15 years, living in several areas of North Carolina. When Jane returned to Tennessee, she worked for Kennametal, Inc. in Johnson City for several years until she retired. She was a member of Gray United Methodist Church where she gave of her time to the United Methodist Women, served on various church committees and participated in many activities.
Jane was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Frost, Billy Joe Milhorn, and Billy Ray Hamilton; parents, Ben Jenkins and Kate Brown Jenkins and sister, June Calloway.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Teresa Frost Weber and husband Mark; granddaughter, Candace Acosta and husband Jeremy; grandson, Josh Keene and wife Holly; great-grandchildren, Catrina Iroler, Carson Iroler, Jackson Acosta, James and Jillian Keene; special nieces, Mitzi Calloway, Carol Incorvaia and Terry Frost and nephew, David Frost.
The family will host a visitation on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Gray United Methodist Church with a service to follow officiated by Pastor Aaron Atchley. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens, Johnson City, TN.
Pallbearers will include Mike Incorvaia, Edward Price, David Frost, Henry Walker, Rob Wilemon, Nathan Weber, Joshua Keene, Thomas Karczmarczyk, Carson Iroler and James Keene.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gray United Methodist Building Fund, 2108 Oak Street, Gray, TN 37615.
