Mary Horne, 96, Blountville, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007.
She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and was a homemaker. Mrs. Horne was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Oscar S. ?O. S.?Horne; a son, Eugene Horne; a brother, Earl Arnold; and a sister, Artielee Moody.
Surviving are one daughter, Frances Litz, Blountville; one son, Lonnie Horne and wife, Connie, Kingsport; seven grandchildren, Donna Horne and husband, Ray, Danny Litz and wife, Jill; Norma Cassell and husband, Roger, Marty Litz, Robby Horne, Tammy Gracia and husband, Cesar, Angelique Lamoreaux and husband, Steve; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Emory United Methodist Church with Rev. Joshua Felton officiating. Burial will follow at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Litz, Roger Cassell, Ray Horne, Cesar Gracia, Fred Horne, and Fred Roller. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Horne, Kyle Greene, Marty Litz, Chuck Arnold, and Mike Arnold.
