Mary Kate Johnson

Mary Kate Johnson, age 80, passed away on Thursday, January 24th after a lengthy illness. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson; mother and father, Cora and Clarence Arnold; brother, Billy; and sisters, Barbara Isom and Kathleen Kat Jeffers.

Mary is survived by her children, Ronnie Johnson of Michigan, Fredrick Pud Johnson of Johnson City, Dorothy Hardy and husband, Rick of Michigan, Johnny Johnson and wife, Penny of Kingsport, Steve Johnson of the home, special daughter and helper, Teresa Johnson of the home, Paul Johnson and girlfriend, Jane Lunders of Kingsport, and Phil Johnson and girlfriend Kim Parsons of Kingsport; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Dorthy Tyndall; brother, Paul Arnold and wife, Mae; and sister-in-law, Betty Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 28th from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her favorite grandson, Jonathan Johnson, Paul Johnson, Phil Johnson, Keith Mullins, Tony Taylor, Paul Green and Andy Bland.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wexford House, nurses, Emily, Jodie, Spencer and Whitney for the care they provided and to all of the CNA's who are too numerous to mention.
