Mary Laughters

Mary Laughters, 86, went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 3, 2008, at her residence.

She was born in Rogersville, Tennessee, and had been a resident of the Kingsport area the majority of her life. Mrs. Laughters was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Holston Valley Community Hospital after 23 years of service.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Ethel Forgety; her husband, Guy Laughters; and two sisters, Cecil Lee and Nelle Forgety.

Surviving loving family members are three sons, Raymond Laughters and wife, Jan, Keith Laughters and wife, Nancy, and Gerald Laughters, all of Kingsport; two special grandchildren, Jeffrey Laughters of Kingsport and Shelby Laughters of Boston, Massachusetts; two sisters, Elizabeth Brewer of Rogersville and Margaret Huffman of Clearwater, FL; and a niece and her husband, Linda and Don Solari of Clearwater, FL.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Rev. and Mrs. Mike Stout and family for being dear, concerned neighbors and to Okey Frazier for sharing his time and kindness to Mary.

The family will receive friends from, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
