Mary Ruth Bush McConnell, 85, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Gate City, VA, she lived in Kingsport for most of her life. She worked at Eastman Kodak for 20 years. Mrs. McConnell attended Ft. Robinson Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Michael McConnell of Whittier, NC, and granddaughter Rhiannon McConnell; her sister Jean White; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7pm with Rev. Frank Proffitt officiating.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 am Saturday in Oak Hill Memorial Park.
