Mary Louise Reeves, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday December 9, 2006 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Jerry led a long and full life. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II in India. There she met James Reeves, who was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force.

She and James were fortunate enough to be able to travel extensively during their retirement years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in March of 2006.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, David and Leslie Reeves of Knoxville; her sister, Elizabeth H. Martin of Portland, OR; and her sister-in-law and close companion of the past ten months, Edell Hawley of Kingsport.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul?s Episcopal Church with Rev. Jay Mills officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.

Jerry was a lover of animals, great and small. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Humane Society of Greater Kingsport, 2141 Idle Hour Road, Kingsport, TN 37660 or the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 Twenty-Fourth Street, N.W., P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180.
