Mary Schuttler Pierce

Mary Schuttler Pierce, 75, entered Heaven's Gate on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born to Herbert and Mary Schuttler in New York City. First and foremost Mary was a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Cub Scout leader in both Brewster, NY and Kingsport. She worked in insurance for GEICO in Washington, D.C. and Kingsport Development in Kingsport, TN.
In retirement, Mary and Larry enjoyed RVing throughout the United States and Canada.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Pierce; her children, Rick (Barbara), Herby (Michelle), and George (Jessica) Pierce and Mary (Mike) Hogue; grandchildren, Drew, Lee, Chris, Spencer, John Micheal, MacKenzie, and Destiny Pierce, Katie, Timothy, and William Hogue, Wendy Smith, Cassie Hahn, Lauren Musick, and Megan Grim; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Blountville Presbyterian Church. The service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Brad Palmer officiating.

A family graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
