Lenore Tate, 77, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday October, 10, 2009.
Mary Lenore Tate was born on February 10, 1932 in Fleming, KY to the late William Riley and Anna Elizabeth Huston Little.
Lenore graduated from Fleming-Neon High School. She received an Associates Degree from Whitney School of Business. Mrs. Tate retired from Holston Defense Corporation after 28 years of employment.
Lenore was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed needlework. Mrs. Tate had been a member of Glenwood Baptist Church since 1951. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca M. Willis; and brothers, John Little and Riley Little, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Paul R. Tate; son, David J. Tate and wife, Mary Misulich and children Natasha, Nicole and Christopher Tate, Townsend, TN; daughters, Paula L. Wagner, and Reeda R. Tate, both of Kingsport; granddaughter, Laila Haga; great-grandchildren, Leah Haga, Gage Haga, and Julia Patton; many nieces and nephews; and special nephew, J. P. Willis and wife, Cecelia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Charles Roberts officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice.
