Mary Louise Trivett, 87, of Kingsport, died early Monday morning at her daughter's home in Unicoi after an extended illness. Born in Cleveland, TN, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Mary Lou was a 1941 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School where she was a majorette in the band. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Mary Lou was primarily a homemaker, but had worked in women's clothing at Sobel's. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley C. "Chad" Trivett.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Debby Trivett Preston and husband, Richard of Unicoi, David Trivett and wife, Nancy of Atlanda, GA, and Jane Trivett of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Chad Preston and Leslie Trivett; sister, Cecile Ledgerwood of Kingsport; and two nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 16th at 2:30 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Mitchell M. Whisnant officiating.
