Mary Webb Robinette

Mary Webb Robinette, 85, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Mary was born in Hopkinsville, KY, later moving to Crossville, TN. She married Isaac "Ike" Hillary Robinette, Jr. in December of 1955, then later settled in Kingsport, TN where Ike opened Pope-Robinette Insurance Agency with his late brother-in-law, Walter Vergil Pope. Mary worked for Eastman Kodak for over 30 years, retiring as an executive administrator. She was an avid UT Football fan. Mary and Ike went to the Kentucky Derby for over 35 years. She loved antiques, cooking, flowers, and decorating. Mary was quick to laugh, eager to hug, loving to her family, and especially devoted to her husband, Ike.

She was born to the late Elsie and James Webb, Sr., of Crossville, TN, and had three brothers. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Isaac "Ike" Hillary Robinette; and sister-in-law, Kay Robinette Herther.

Mary is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sue Robinette Pope and Judy Robinette Ferrell (Virgil); nieces and nephews, Robin Austin Major, Wrenda Fuller, Marsha Scheusner, Tanya Samples, Ramona Sitton, Bradford Ferrell, Clifton Ferrell, Travis Ferrell; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Sharing of remembrances will follow at 6 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Providence Cemetery, Rogersville, TN.

Pallbearers will be her nephews Larry Fuller, Ron Scheusner, Stephen Sitton, Travis Ferrell, and Rob Satrom.
