Mattie Lena Breeden Addington

Mattie Lena Breeden Addington, 86, Kingsport, died early Sunday morning June 12, 2011 at Wexford House. Born in Nickelsville Va. she had resided in Kingsport since 1963. Mattie was retired from Tennessee Eastman Company where she had worked as a lab technician. She was a member of Litz Manor Baptist Church and was also very active in Kingsport Senior Citizens Center.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Frank L. and Edna Hartsock Breeden, three sisters, and five half sisters.

She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty five years, Lilburn Harding Addington, Kingsport, foster son Ernest Harold Lucas and wife Linda, Bristol, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation and care given by the 200 wing of Wexford House.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Chris Alford officiating.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
