Mattie K. Looney

Mattie K. Looney, 85, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mattie taught the 6th grade at Fall Branch School and was also an excellent homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Looney; parents, Bache and Loretta Kincheloe; and sister, Hettie Jones.

Mattie is survived by her son, Mike Looney and wife, Beverly; grandson, Bryon Looney and wife, Rachael; two great-granddaughters, Jolene and Jessie Looney; and a special niece, special nephew and several special cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2501 Highway 81 N, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
