Maudene Moore

Maudene Moore, 87, of the Cherry Hill community, passed away Saturday March 7, 2009 at her home.

She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and had retired from the Kingsport Press.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Moore; brother, Kenneth Piersall; and brother-in-law, Beecher Sykes.

Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Morelock and husband, Larry, Kingsport, and Scarlett Carr and husband, David, Church Hill; two sons, Terry Moore and wife, Ann, Limestone, and Garrett Moore, Limestone; ten grandchildren, Tina Collins, Bridgett Jones, Jimmy Moore, Holly Moore, Kelly Walker, Ashley Morelock, Clint Moore, Melissa Singleton, Jason Turnmire, and Rhonda Turnmire; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Coeta Sykes, Dallas, TX; brother, G. D. Piersall and wife, Elaine, Follett, TX; sister-in-law, Ruby Piersall, Perryton, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Joe Blankenship officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Moore, Clint Moore, Ashley Morelock, Steve Collins, Rusty Collins, Brandon Walker, Aron Singleton, and Jason Turnmire.
