Maxline Light Hayes

Maxline Light Hayes, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at her home in Fall Branch. Mrs. Hayes was employed by Eastman Kodak for 9 years and J.C. Penny's for 14 years. She was a member of Fall Branch First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling, watching UT women's basketball and working in her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dewey and Grace Harbor Light; step-mother, Bessie Light, sister, Thelma Newcombe.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dennis; two sons, Randy and wife, Sandra of Jonesborough, Todd and wife, Penny of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Stephanie Bullock and husband, Chris of Jonesborough; Alex and Houston Hayes of Kingsport; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Bullock.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch; funeral service to follow with Rev. Victor Wallace and Rev. Carl Strickler officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Friday at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Fall Branch.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Allan Cox, Bud Cox, Don Haren, Brian Hayes, Jimmy Hayes, Danny Jones, Roger McAmis, John McCrary, Jack Moffitt, Kenny Newcombe, Randall Phillips, Richard Phillips, Roger Dale Phillips and Jerry Price.

Mrs. Hayes' family would like to give a special thanks to Ella McCrary Strickland and Mima Jean Taylor for all their help and to all of the staff at Amedisys Hospice for the special care and loving attention provided.
