May Graham (Sissy) Smith

May Graham (Sissy) Smith, 69, of Kingsport, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Oncology Floor, with her loving husband and daughter by her side.

She was born November 28, 1946, in Jackson, TN, to the late Bob and Elna Graham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Graham, Jr.

Sissy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Roger Smith; her daughter, Holly; grandchildren, Luke and Chloe Egan of Knoxville who were her reason for living through those hard times; brother, John Graham and wife, Pat of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Sissy's wishes were to be cremated with no funeral or services.

Roger and Holly give special prayers and thanks to Dr. Shipstone, his nurses, and especially those oncology nurses from Heaven at Allendale Cancer Hospital who always brought her back when she was so ill with chemo, and all the staff there who truly loved and cared for her, and those special nurses and PCT's at Wellmont Holston Valley, who kept her from suffering those last days.
