Mayme Ruth Watson Good

Mayme Ruth Watson Good, 93, Fall Branch, died Saturday evening Aug. 8, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Ashe County, North Carolina, on Aug. 12, 1915, she graduated from Sulphur Springs High School at age 16 and continued her education at Johnson City Business College. She retired from Greeneville City School System after many years of service. Mrs. Good enjoyed reading, listening to books on tape, sewing for her children and grandchildren, and gardening at her home. She was a longtime member of Pleasant View Church of Christ.
Mrs. Good was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn Good; parents, Walter and Fannie Watson; sisters Vee Haren and Lee Cleek; brother Gurvis Watson; and her infant son. Surviving are her children Richard Good and wife Joan, Bradenton, Fl., Pat Armentrout and husband Jay, Jonesborough, Nancy Haas and husband Don, Fall Branch, Teresa Estepp and husband Larry, Kingsport; grandchildren Tony Good and wife Jennifer, Lakeville, Conn., Robin Doyle, East Windsor, Conn., Bryan Armentrout and wife Sonya, Auburn, Georgia, April Roberts and husband Scott, Jonesborough, Michael Haas and wife Sarah, Kingsport, Susan Kincannon and husband Bart, Fort Smith, Ark., Erin Link and husband Josh, Nashville, Kelli Estepp, Breckenridge, Colo., and Amy Estepp, Kingsport; 12 great grandchildren with one on the way; one great-great grandchild; sister Mae Dykes, Kingsport; sister-in-law, Cuba Watson Carberry, Jonesborough; and many special nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Minister Charles Huff, Minister Wayne Boswell, and Minister Gordon Ricketts officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, Greene Shed. Those attending the graveside will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
Pallbearers are her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Bales, Don Bennett, Lanny Farrar, Charlie Hall, Bit Keys, Denny Moody, and Wade Tipton.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to Dr. Dale Solomon and also Sherry Riggs, Dr. William Bell and staff.
