McKinley Mack Manis

McKinley Mack Manis, 79, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his residence after a battle with cancer.  McKinley was born in Hawkins County, TN on May 21, 1939.  He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 36 years of service.  McKinley was always ready and willing to help people in any way he could. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ebbie (Lawson) Manis; and two daughters, Rebecca O’Neil and Frances Leedy Manis.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 59 years, Margret J. Manis; son, Michael L. Manis; daughter, Rhonda A. Blakely; two sisters, Bonnie Skeen and husband, Slempy, and Dorothy Scruggs; brother, Morrison Reed; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with Preacher Wayne Gilliam officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are children and grandchildren.
