Melissa Lynne Burke, 57, died unexpectedly on November 17, 2015. She was born on February 4, 1958 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Barbara Burke; her sister, Jerri Burke Bearden; her grandparents, Charlie and Eva Deming, and Clyde and Myrtle Burke; and her dearest friend and companion, Janet Ambrose.
Survivors include her sister, Laura Burke Simon; her nephews, Dillon Simon and Joshua Bearden; nieces, Alex Simon and Kaylie Barker; former brother-in-law and his wife, David and DeRhonda Bearden; cousins, David and Janet Wright, Charlie and Robin Deming and Michael and Rhonda Deming; and her beloved and beautiful cat, Precious.
Honoring Melissa's wishes, her services will be private.
