Mervin Martin Williams
Mervin Martin Williams, 77, of Kingsport went to sleep Sunday, August 14th 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He enjoyed working, making friends and especially his grandkids. After retiring Martin kept busy fishing, walking and visiting with his friends at Ft. Henry Mall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Willie Williams and sisters, Marie Prewitt and Irene Blizzard.
His survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gertrude Williams; two sons, Ronnie Williams and Rick Williams and wife Tammie; two grandchildren, Travis and Cody Williams; special great grandchildren, Aivree Byram, Mather and Elora Konkel; two sisters,
Louise Shaw and Evelina Creasy; brother Eugene Williams; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends anytime Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the home and on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 between 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Phil Whittemore officiating.
