Mescal Steadman Robbins, 87, Fall Branch, passed away Tuesday, November 20th at Wexford House after a long illness. She lived most of her adult life in Fall Branch and was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch for 66 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.A. and Edith Shanks Daugherty; stepmother, Irene Daugherty; two husbands, Harvey C. Steadman and Rondal Ray Robbins; son, Richard Keith Steadman; three grandchildren, Michael James Steadman, Blandon Kane Steadman, and Mescal Irene Harper; sister, Lorene Chandler; brother, Herbert Daugherty; and four brothers-in-law, Charles Monk, Arnold Chandler, Bill Dean and Don Dean.
Mescal is survived by son, Michael Kathy Steadman; daughter, Teresa Harper; five sisters, Pauline Monk of Chucky, Jewell Dean of Greenville, Jannett Dean of California, Helen Bill Nuckles of California, Wanda Bobby Hoyle of Kentucky; two brothers, Lowell Eleanor Daugherty of California, and Elmer Laura Daugherty of Greenville; sister-in-law, Lucille Daugherty of TX; several nieces and nephews; and two Godchildren, Molly and Adam Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24th from 1-3:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Carl Strickler and Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Fall Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nephews; Joe Daugherty, John Daugherty, Dave Monk, Wayne Chandler, Rodney Dean, Allen Hoyle, Patrick Holye, Alex Nuckles and Billy Nuckles. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Muggett.
