Mia Lyanne Gonzalez

In the early morning hours of October 8, 2024, Mia Lyanne Gonzalez peacefully passed away in the arms of her earthly father only to be embraced in the arms of her heavenly father. Mia entered this world on September 25, 2024, and was a force to be reckoned with, as she was a fighter from the very beginning. It was truly love at first sight for her parents and she was the light of her big sisters’ lives. Mia courageously fought for her life for 13 days until Jesus called her home into his kingdom.

Mia was preceded in death by her grandfather, Randy Cox; grandfather, Mauricio Yol; great-grandfather, Tommy Dowell; great-grandmother, Sonia Garcia; great-aunt, Kathy Boggs-Jewell; great-uncles, Steve Dowell and Jim Dowell; great-uncle, Eddy Gonzalez and uncle, Steven Yol. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving parents, Melwin Mauricio Yol Gonzalez and Autumn Daisey Cox; sisters, Layla Naomi Gonzalez and Daisey Abigail Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Lisa Cox; paternal grandparents, Naomi and Ezequiel Bamaca; uncles, Austin Cox, Cristian Gonzalez, Elmer Bamaca, Josue Yol; aunts, Jennifer Gonzalez and Rebecca Yol; great-uncle and aunt, George and Debbie Blakley; great-uncle and aunt, Marvin and Evelyn Gonzalez; great-uncle, Welner Garcia; godmother, Lyanne Perafan; Uncle, Alvaro; great-grandmother, Madge Dowell; Aunt, Jecenia Gonzalez; Aunt Kendel Tillison, Uncle Jeffrey Gillison cousins, Tesla Cox, Amalie Hall, Emily, Islenny and Jacob; and several other loving family members. 

The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to everyone that prayed for baby Mia all across the States.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at 2:00pm at Booher’s Chapel Cemetery 197 Booher’s Chapel Ln Bristol, VA 24202, with Pastor Brad Brown officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 15 minutes prior to the service. 

To honor Mia, the family has asked that guests dress respectfully in attire. 

Those who may be unable to attend the graveside service or would like to visit Mia are welcome at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home - Downtown Kingsport on Monday October 14, 2024, between the business hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to sign the register when stopping by.
