Michael Dean Sullivan

Michael Dean Sullivan, 67, of Kingsport, went to his heavenly home on Monday, November 12, 2018. Mike was born at the family home in Virginia City, VA on May 18, 1951, and resided in the Kingsport area since 1969. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company and operated Mike's Pressure Washing for much of his retirement. In 1995 Mike asked Jesus to be his Savior and later joined Beulah Baptist Church where he worked with preschoolers in Bible School for several years. His passions in life were riding his Harley, Nascar, cowboy boots, and most of all, spending time with his grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.J. "June" and Mildred Long Sullivan, and two brothers, David and Larry Sullivan.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Michelle Sullivan and grandson, Kaleb Crowe of Kingsport; step-sons, Gary Manis of Kingsport and David Killebrew of Knoxville; brother, Steve Sullivan and wife, Pam of Dante, VA; sisters, Margaret Sullivan of St. Paul, VA, and Joanne Sullivan of Church Hill, TN; sisters-in-law, Vickie Sullivan of Kingsport and Karen Sullivan of Castlewood, VA; and several extended family members.

On behalf of our family, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the tremendous care and love that was shown to our loved one, Mike, from his beloved caregiver and special friend, Dina Ogan, for a number of years that has come straight from her heart.

The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Al South and Mr. Douglas Ogan officiating. Burial will follow at East Tennessee Cemetery.
