Michael Lynn Droke

Michael Lynn Droke, 52, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015, due to complications from an accidental fall.

He was born in Kingsport and grew up in Lebanon, VA. He participated in and won many cattle and sheep shows and was an active member in the local 4-H Club. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1981.

Mike was an employee of Eastman Chemical Company from 1989 to present. He was a member of the Jericho Shriners Temple, the Kingsport Masonic Lodge 668, and the York Rite.

He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. Mike was actively involved in his children's sports whether it was coaching or supporting from the sidelines. He was a loved member of his neighborhood where he could be found helping his neighbors at every opportunity. He was a hardworking and loved man, and will truly be missed.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kristi; children, Morgan and Michael Droke; step-children, Adam and Aaron Mays; his mother, Shirley Meade; his father, Bud Droke; half-brothers, Jeff and Bryan Meade; half-brother, Mark Droke; and half-sister, Shannon Jones.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Tommy Bryant officiating.

Burial will be private. Family will serve as pallbearers.
