Michael "Mike" Lynn Musser, 50, Bluff City, TN, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008, at his home.
He drove a special education school bus for Sullivan County School System and liked to do wood crafts. Mike said if he couldn't fix it, it wasn't broken. He was involved in the relay for life walk for the American Cancer Society.
Mike was well-liked by everyone and always took care of his family. He had a special friend, Billy Overbay whom he could talk to for hours, and a fishing buddy in Florida, Paul Lawlis.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Betty Wagner; and his parents, Gilford and Beulah Musser.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Musser, of the home; one daughter, Donna Arnold of Bluff City; three sons, Travis Lynn Jeremy Musser and fiancée Charlene of Bluff City, Chad Eric Arnold and wife Wylma of West Palm Beach, FL, and Richard Brian Arnold and wife Polly of Kingsport; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Frances Kiser and husband Larry of Gray; four brothers, John Musser and wife Jane of Kingsport, Bill Musser and wife Barbara J. of Kingsport, Larry Musser and wife Betty, Knotts Island, NC, Charles Musser and wife Barbara S. of Philadelphia, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Clifford Cole officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roger Dale Wright Jr., Jimmy Wright Jr., John David Wright, Justin Michael Wright, John Lee Musser Jr., Michael L.B. Musser, Ricky Kiser, and Michael Barnes. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Overbay.
