Michael Kevin Shrewsbury

Michael Kevin Shrewsbury, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 59. Born on May 17, 1964, in Akron, OH, Michael's journey in life brought him to Kingsport, TN, where he resided with his family.

Michael was a talented painter by trade, bringing beauty and color into the world through his skilled craftsmanship. However, beyond his profession, he found joy in spending quality time with his loved ones, and cherishing the little things in life. More than anything, Michael enjoyed being a father to his best friend in the world, Maddie.

Those left to continue Michael's legacy are his wife, Beth Shrewsbury; daughter, Maddie Shrewsbury; parents, Howard Wieland and Lynn Shrewsbury (Nate), father-in-law Thomas Cordle; brother, Bobby Shrewsbury (Misty), sisters Cathy Owens (Daniel), and Terry Stukbauer (Kurt); brother-in-law Joe Cordle; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Dennis and Bobbie Phillips, Carl and Sue Hyatt and the Delp Family.

To honor Michael's life, a graveside service will be held at Gunnings Cemetery on August 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport, starting at 12:00 pm.
