Michael Thomas Buczkowske

Michael Thomas Buczkowske, 57, Blountville, went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, October 9, 2016, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Sanford, Florida and had resided in Kingsport since his youth. Mike was a very caring and loving man who gave of himself to others and everyone that met him was affected and changed. He was a loving husband and father, and always put his family first. Mike was an employee of Greystone Health Care for 25 years. Mike attended Mercy Seat Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Buczkowske.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vola Buczkowske; son, Cody Buczkowske; father, Michael Leo Buczkowske; sisters, Belinda Henard and husband Jerry, Robin Stevens and husband Donald; sisters-in-law, Lisa Smith and husband John, and Janie Velie and husband Greg; nieces and nephews, Timothy Velie, Stephen Velie, Joseph Velie, Brandon Henard, Jonathan Smith and fiancé Mackenzie, Grace Stevens, Madison Smith, Ashley Benton and husband Jason, Jessica Bishop and husband Dustin, Tanzi Bishop, and Tristan Bishop; special friend, Ann Falcinelli; and fur baby, Cambria.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Mercy Seat Ministries. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Leander Ray and Greg Velie officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at East Lawn Memorial Park.
