Mildred Shipley

Mildred B. Shipley, 83, of Kingsport, joined her husband on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.

She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Shipley was an insurance agent in Kingsport before retirement.

In addition to her husband, Enoch T. "E.T." Shipley, she was preceded in death by her parents, C. B. and Minnie Blankenbecler; two brothers, Raymond Blankenbecler and Ralph Blankenbecler; and one sister, Vivian Nelson.

Survivors include her daughter, Myra Weber and her husband, Kirk of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Sarah Weber McKee and her husband, Jason of Louisville, Kentucky, and Alice Marie Weber of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and one brother, Paul Blankenbecler of Atlanta, GA.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2008 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Counts officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Sermon on the Mount Garden.
